As part of this year’s Litomy\u0161lFest, we accepted an invitation from the Pardubice Film Office for an informal meeting of regional film offices. The program offered space for sharing experiences from everyday practice, discussions with film producers, and the introduction of new trends that will influence the audiovisual industry in the coming years. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Sharing experiences between regions<\/h2>\n\n

Informal meetings of regional film offices represent an important opportunity to exchange experiences and best practices. Each region deals with different types of productions, different locations, and the specific needs of film crews. Open discussion between individual offices helps find common solutions and further develop the services we offer to film productions. <\/p>\n\n

The program of this year’s meeting focused on current developments in the audiovisual industry, cooperation between regional film offices and producers, and the principles of environmentally sustainable filming.<\/p>\n\n

Green filming is gaining importance<\/h2>\n\n

One of the main points of the program was a lecture by Miroslav Vl\u010dek from the Sustainable Audiovisual Platform (PUAV)<\/a><\/strong> focused on the principles of environmentally sustainable filming, known as green filming<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

In the Czech Republic today, green filming is undergoing a period of rapid development. For example, the Sustainable Audiovisual Platform (PUAV)<\/strong>, the Audiovisual Producers’ Association (APA)<\/strong>, or major television companies such as TV Nova<\/strong> and Prima Group<\/strong> are collaborating on its implementation. <\/p>\n\n

Unified rules for the Czech environment, practical methodologies, and educational programs focused on more sustainable film production are gradually being created. New professions are also starting to appear on larger projects, such as green consultants<\/strong> or green runners<\/strong>, who help productions reduce the environmental impact of filming. <\/p>\n\n

What does this mean for South Bohemia?<\/h2>\n\n

Green filming also represents new opportunities for regional film offices. We therefore want to gradually develop a database of regional suppliers and services that can help film crews meet the requirements of sustainable filming. <\/p>\n\n

This could include, for example, local catering using seasonal ingredients, suppliers of compostable tableware and its disposal system, providers of mobile power sources, an overview of connection points, or other services supporting environmentally friendly production.<\/p>\n\n

In addition to the environmental benefit, the development of these services also represents a competitive advantage for the South Bohemia region. Productions are increasingly looking for regions that can offer them verified partners and quality facilities to meet green filming requirements. <\/p>\n\n

Cooperation with producers<\/h2>\n\n

A beneficial part of the program was also a discussion with producer Pavel \u0160m\u00eddmajer<\/strong>, which focused on the cooperation of film productions with regional film offices.<\/p>\n\n

The expectations of film crews towards regional partners were voiced, as well as recommendations on how film offices can provide even better service. We want to use these insights in the further development of the South Bohemia Film Office’s services and in the preparation of new tools to support domestic and foreign productions. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
